Reef Advantage Magnesium is a highly concentrated (80,000 ppm) and well - optimized mix of magnesium, chloride, and sulfate salts. It's specifically formulated to replenish low magnesium levels while having the least impact on the ionic ratios in natural seawater. Unlike other liquid magnesium supplements on the market, this product is ammonia - free! Ammonia is a common pollutant in such products. When magnesium levels drop severely (below 800 mg/L), it can lead to low pH and difficulty in maintaining proper calcium levels. Magnesium depletion often happens when using kalkwasser. Be careful not to overdose, as too much magnesium can increase the loss of carbonate alkalinity. Don't mix it directly with any carbonate supplement.
