The 12-inch Naturalistic Terrarium Hood comes with a built-in reflector and socket for heat or UVB lamps. It's a perfect fit for all 12-inch wide Naturalistic Terrariums (Zoo Med items# NT-1 or NT-2). For UVB needs, pair it with Zoo Med's Reptisun 5.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp to get both UVB and UVA. During the daytime, use Zoo Med's Daylight Blue Reptile Bulb (up to 60 watts) to provide warmth. And for 24-hour heat, Zoo Med's Nightlight Red Reptile Bulb (up to 60 watts) is an ideal choice.

Using this terrarium hood is easy. First, make sure your terrarium is 12 inches wide and is a Naturalistic Terrarium (Zoo Med items# NT-1 or NT-2). Then, install the appropriate bulb for your needs. For UVB and UVA, use the Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp. During the day, put in the Daylight Blue Reptile Bulb (up to 60 watts), and at night, switch to the Nightlight Red Reptile Bulb (up to 60 watts). When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the bulbs to ensure they're working properly. If a bulb burns out, replace it right away. Also, keep the hood clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth to avoid any dust buildup.
